We are seeking a skilled Field Technician for the deployment of controllers and gateways that transmit I/O signals from PLCs to cloud-based dashboards. The role involves installing hardware in proximity to I/O cards of PLCs across 8 designated locations and wiring I/O cards to controllers.

Responsibilities:

• Install controllers/gateways adjacent to I/O cards of PLCs, ensuring correct connectivity to output signals.
• Follow detailed wiring diagrams to accurately connect I/O card ports to corresponding terminals on the controller.
• Use a multimeter to test and verify the functionality of I/O signals from the PLCs.
• Confirm successful data transmission to online dashboards after installation.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols on-site.
• Take detailed pictures of every installation. This will be used for documentation creation for the customer

Requirements:

• Proficient understanding of basic electrical concepts, especially pertaining to low-level DC voltage signals.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Experience in using electrical testing tools such as a multimeter and must have it ready to bring to the site.
• Previous experience in maintenance within the manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Must possess personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots, for on-site tasks. Safety goggles will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.
• The installation needs to be professional and a clean job. Zip ties and other consumables should be used to tidy up the installation.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
