Position Overview: Commercial Gate Technician
As a Commercial Gate Technician at Custom Door & Gate, you will play a crucial role in servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial gate systems. Your responsibilities will include conducting preventative maintenance and proactive repairs, ensuring that our customers' gate systems are operating smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

• Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
• Install various types of conduit, automated gate, and access control systems
• Troubleshoot motor and low-voltage control systems
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems, both high and low voltage
• Identify required parts for repairs in a timely manner
• Complete all necessary job-related paperwork accurately and efficiently
• Adhere to OSHA guidelines and company safety protocols rigorously
• Drive a company vehicle safely and in compliance with all driving regulations and DOT requirements

Qualifications For SuccessTo excel as a Commercial Gate Technician, you will need to meet the following criteria:

• Hold a valid driver's license
• Possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Previous experience with low-voltage equipment and access control systems
• Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals is advantageous but not mandatory
• Proficiency in working with electrical equipment and hand tools

Safety Requirements

• Capable of working at heights of up to 20 feet
• Frequently handle garage doors weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Able to lift, push, kneel, crouch, reach, and handle tools required for door installations
• Regularly engage in sitting, standing, walking, with good depth perception
