Position Overview: Shipping and Receiving Coordinator
ResponsibilitiesAs a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, you will oversee and supervise warehouse operations to create a productive and safe work environment for the company and its employees. Your responsibilities may vary but will encompass the following essential functions:
- Report emergency/non-scheduled deliveries to the Production Manager proactively
- Investigate inventory discrepancies in reports
- Adhere to OSHA guidelines and company safety policies
- Assist employees in loading materials onto trucks using a forklift
- Assemble customer orders accurately based on order requirements
- Organize materials on racks or shelves according to specified criteria
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Keep accurate records of received and distributed products
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
- Manage inventory-related paperwork, including shipping and receiving confirmations
- Label orders and back stock clearly
- Input data into computer systems
- Process incoming freight efficiently
- Monitor on-site dumpsters and coordinate pickups
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse setting or construction industry preferred
- Forklift certification is a plus
