Role Overview: Shipping and Receiving Coordinator
ResponsibilitiesAs a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supervising and overseeing warehouse operations. Your main objective is to cultivate a productive and safe working environment for the company and its employees. While each day may present unique challenges, your responsibilities will include:
- Reporting emergency/non-scheduled deliveries to the Production Manager
- Investigating variances in inventory reports
- Complying with OSHA guidelines and company safety policies
- Assisting employees in loading materials onto trucks using a forklift
- Assembling customer orders and organizing stock based on predetermined criteria
- Maintaining equipment and recording product distribution
- Ensuring warehouse cleanliness and organization
- Managing inventory-related paperwork and records
- Processing incoming freight in a timely manner
- Monitoring and scheduling dumpster pick-ups
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or construction setting preferred
- Forklift certification is a plus
