About You

The person we are looking for has a strong mechanical and electrical background and is eager to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Position Snapshot

A Mechanical/Electrical Technician is commonly expected to know how to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, apparatus and electrical and mechanical components of industrial machinery and equipment. Provide technical support for the Maintenance Manager, plant, and all maintenance personnel.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Troubleshoot complex electrical systems utilizing tools such as ohm meter, voltmeter, oscilloscope, and computer software
• Ability to read electrical prints and install wire machinery to manufacturers specifications.
• Troubleshoot:
  • Advanced electrical circuits – 24V, 110V, 220V, 277V, 480V,
  • Welders, Shear, PLC’s
  • Discuss machine variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machine.
• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
• Plan and complete preventative maintenance
• Install or repair electrical equipment, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Install, program, or repair automated machinery

Requirements and Education

• Broad Technical training (high school plus 1 to 2 years of apprenticeship/applied trades training). Training requires a basic knowledge in the use of shop mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, PLC programs, DC drive motors, AC drive motors and various types of precision measuring instruments is required.
• A minimum of 2 years electrical technician experience is required.
• An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
