FULL-TIME: Gap-Year Medical Assistant Opportunity for pre-Med or pre-PA

We are offering an exciting opportunity for pre-Med or pre-PA candidates looking to gain hands-on clinical experience. Our doctors and staff are eager to foster a rich learning experience. You will work hands-on with a provider to develop and deliver treatment plans, such as orthotics, corticosteroid injections, radiography, physical therapy, biomechanical bracing, PRP Platelet Rich Plasma, shockwave, laser therapy, electrocautery, cryotherapy, and more.

Candidates will also be trained in administrative skills such as patient scheduling, insurance coordination, medical billing & coding, business operation, data management and more.

Our previously successful hires have transitioned to medical students at Yale Med School, Virginia DO schools, MPH grad school, and more.

New hire must be fun, personable and enjoy meeting new people. Our patients and staff are simply fantastic!

START DATES: Immediately

SCHEDULE

Monday 9-5

Tuesday 8-5

Wednesday 8-4:30

Thursday: 8-5

Friday: 8-2:30

LOCATIONS: Raleigh // West Cary // Fuquay

--Most time will be spent in our Raleigh Office.

-We have a mature, busy office in Raleigh, a growing office in West Cary, and a brand new office in Fuquay.

-Some days may be at our satellite offices for coverage and to broaden the training experience.

Physical Requirements

• Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
• Possible exposure to communicable diseases.
• Intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch.
• Manual finger dexterity.
