Job description The Medical Billing Specialist is an important member of our team for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) based in our office in Munich-Laim. This role is initially reporting into the Senior Director, International Accounting (based in London, UK). The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate invoicing of all incoming sales orders in collaboration with the Customer Care team and our third-party service providers. Responsibilities You will collaborate closely with our customer care team that processes the incoming prescriptions and orders from our customers. You will help us to timely and accurately invoice all our incoming sales orders to the health insurances, working closely with our third-party service providers. As part of this responsibility, you will have to check that all required documentation is registered in our customer system, such as the prescriptions, cost estimates, training documents and any other relevant documentation required for successful invoicing and collection. This also includes checking the responses (approvals/rejections) from the health insurance funds and following up timely on any resubmissions. As required, you will also provide information to the International Accounting team related to the status of invoicing and collections. Required qualifications Training and experience Completed vocational training with initial work experience in finance and/or medical field (health insurance company, clinic, medical supply store, etc.). A good understanding of the German health insurance system as well as reimbursement channels, prescriptions for medical aids, medical billing, etc. are an advantage. Relevant experience in customer service as well as a friendly and competent manner when talking to health insurance companies and other stakeholders. Protecting customer data is extremely important: therefore, bring a conscious, trusting approach to it. Skills Good knowledge of Office 365 programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Attention to detail. Salesforce knowledge is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills. German speaking and good to fluent in English. Self-motivated and positive team player.
