Workers Compensation Claims Examiner - Hybrid - Sacramento, CA

This company works hard to provide risk management and risk financing for all of its members. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in protecting the education systems for our youth.

What we need from you:

• Experience - You have at least 5 years of Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner experience
• Certification - SIP certification required
• Customer Service - You provide amazing customer service, communication, and telephone skills
• Mathematical and Analytical - Ability to review data and make actionable recommendations based on the information.
• Comprehensive Knowledge - Understanding of Worker’s Compensation guidelines and compliance obligations.
• Software - You are proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other database management systems

Responsibilities:

• Handling new claims from opening until satisfactory completion, evidence, and fact-gathering surrounding claims
• Assuring all claims have a workable plan of action
• Working with case managers and treatment facilities to ensure the delivery of care
• Reviewing billing summaries
• Identifying any signs of fraud and making proper referrals for further investigation
• Pursue subrogation when necessary, and offer superior customer service to all parties involved
