Measurement Technician
Location: IDM Plant, 905 Addison Rd, Painted Post, NY
Schedule: 100% onsite, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Duration: Short-term assignment through November 22, 2024 (covering leave)
Pay Range: $25.00/hr
Required Education: Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in a technical field (math, science, engineering). Candidates must be proficient in Excel.
Summary:

• Learn and perform measurement techniques on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Independently set up and operate equipment after training.
• Characterize samples as requested using scientific, mathematical, and statistical techniques.
• Plan and arrange schedules and equipment for testing and evaluating samples.
• Compile and enter data into Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quickly learn and apply measurement techniques.
• Operate and manage multiple pieces of equipment.
• Complete accurate data entry and compilation in Excel.
• Follow previously defined procedures.
• Refer atypical or complex problems to others.
• Work under close supervision.
• Recommend actions to improve efficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality and meet prescribed timeframes.
• Engage primarily with the immediate work group.

Requirements:

• Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.
• Reliable work record (attendance, performance, behavior).
• Accountable for achieving objectives and goals.
• Technically curious with good organizational and time management skills.
• Able to perform duties within prescribed timeframes.
• Maintain confidentiality.

Experience: 0-3 years (new graduates considered)
Education: AAS in a technical field (Math, Science, Engineering) is required.
