Job Accountabilities
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, Payments and Credits are applied
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via email, telephone, and customer portal
- Prepare monthly analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing
- Work closely with the Sales team in identifying billing errors to reach resolutions to improve cash collections
- Keep clear and legible notes on AR Aging as well as in the company ERP system accessible to all teammates
- Maintain reconciliation of payments on customer accounts
- Communicate discrepancies to manager, identify slow-paying customers, and recommend collection candidates
- Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts
Years Experience: 3 years of B2B Manufacturing AR experience (Preferably in Gov/Aerospace)
Skills
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Excellent time management and detail orientation
- Excellent organizational, research, and follow-up skills
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, TEAMS) and financial accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize changing situations
- Capable of multi-tasking at a high level of efficiency while maintaining deadlines
- Understanding the working knowledge of other department processes and procedures and how they associate with AR
