Target Ratios: 1:4-6 but could vary based on unit needs and/or surges.
Shift: 12HR Nights
36 hours can be offered. Will accept 13 week contracts.
RTO: 7 days MAX
Weekend Requirement: based on unit needs. Sundays are high volume days so at a minimum, every other Sunday. Additional weekend shifts based on department needs.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS:
Thomasville ED is a small community hospital nested among a large healthcare system spanning NC, VA, and SC. The ED has 21 beds with 4 beds dedicated to behavioral health patients. The ED is a certified stroke and chest pain center. Nursing assignments are 4:1 with a charge nurse out of the count each shift. The facility has a growing ICU with 12 bed capacity and an inpatient medical/surgical unit with 35 beds. Thomasville also has OB/L&D services, surgical services and a large inpatient geriatric behavioral health unit that supports many surrounding communities. Thomasville ED has a strong culture of teamwork and we look forward to welcoming travelers to our department.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES:
Unit serves pediatrics through geriatrics.
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication):
PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
SCHEDULING TYPE:
Self schedule with balancing by unit leadership to meet dept needs.
