Job Title: Registered Nurse - Tele Location: Hemet, CA Duration: 3 Months Shift: Day shift 7 am - 7 pm Pay range: $60/hr. on W2 Job Description:Patient care employees must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients of all age groups-must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development through the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s needs in relation to age and to provide the care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures.
Performs an accurate patient assessment on assigned patients in accordance with physician instructions and established policies and procedures for the facility.
Demonstrates an ability to identify changes in patient condition and appropriately notifies the physician. Based on information gathered demonstrates an ability to accurately identify the nursing diagnosis specific for each patient. Demonstrates knowledge of medical diagnosis and how the disease entity is manifested in the patient including interpretations of clinical and laboratory data and/or symptomatology that should be monitored in the patient. Demonstrates the ability to develop a patient care plan unique to each assigned specific patient.
Planning of care includes the patient and family in the process and addresses the specific needs of each family unit. Consistently monitor and evaluates patient outcomes and modifies the care plan and participates in the coordination of continuum of care. Provides direct patient care; Demonstrates ability to carry out physicians orders; Assists physicians in administering treatments, performing medical examinations, diagnostics tests and surgical operations as appropriate to the setting; Administers prescribed treatments and medications; Identifies and records significant changes in condition.
Administers medications and controls narcotics; demonstrates ability to start, prepare, implement, monitor and discontinue I.V. fluids as ordered. Accurately evaluates patient responses to care and therapies including improvements or worsening of patient laboratory results, physical assessment, or changes inmentation. Participates in unit specific quality assurance reviews & performance improvement projects.
Verbalizes potential opportunities that may improve patient safety or care on the unit. Documents evidence of nursing care in patient medical records; Completes documentation legibly, objectively, accurately and timely. Ensures physician orders have been acknowledged by the end of the shift, works with Charge Nurse to resolve complex order acknowledgment issues.
Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and their families in accordance with hospital standards.
