Duration: 3 months (Extendable for longer contract)

Shift/Schedule: 11 AM - 7 PM | 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissues.
• Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
• Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
• Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
• Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
• Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
• Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
• Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.

Facility Requirements:

• Must have 3 years Radiology & CT Tech experience, familiar with Siemens somatom emotions 6 slice and portable x-ray machine Mobile dart and GE
• Must have their Illinois Emergency Management Association (IEMA) certification, needs to be attached to the submission
• Must have ARRT certification in Radiology & CT Tech; must be attached to the submission packet
• Must have BLS certification, must be attached to the submission packet (must be through the American Heart Association); RQI certifications will not be accepted
• Must have 2 years recent Radiology & CT experience
• Shifts are 11am-7:30pm Monday-Friday and On-Call shifts after hours and weekends; On-Call will be 50% with every other weekend. On site every other Saturday
• Needs flexibility to do CT and Radiology exams. Smaller volume but does need to assist with transport for CTs. Most X Rays portable. Also have OR 2 days a week so would need to be able to use C Arm and also do video swallows 1-2 days week. Smaller facility census only about 50 and no ED. Work with 1 other FT tech.
