Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will become an integral part of our engineering team. You will design large machinery (automobile shredders, air systems, conveyors, material sorters, and feeding systems) and structures (platforms, supports, and catwalks), and prepare and maintain detailed installation and fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
You will be a project lead and involved with every aspect of our projects. You will work with vendors and customers to generate and present proposals, design layouts, equipment, and structures, create fabrication drawings, perform field measurements, inspect fabrications, and advise at installation and start-up.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's in Engineering (Required)
• 5 years experience in mechanical and/or structural design
• Proficiency in the use of parametric solid modeling software (Inventor preferred), AutoCAD, and Vault
• Experience in the scrap industry and/or a parallel industry
• Understanding of steel fabrication practices (heavy fabrication is a bonus)
• Knowledge of steel welding practices
• Familiarity with OSHA, AISC, and CEMA design
• Large RIC bearings installation experience
• Self-starter that demonstrates initiative
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stay organized
• Must be fluent in English and must have excellent communication skills
