Job DescriptionMAIN FUNCTION: The Swim Lesson Instructor (SWI) is ultimately responsible for delivering each swim lesson as a world-class, highly motivating, and well-organized experience. This is inclusive of delivering safe and effective formats in all swim lesson categories. The SWI must be inspiring, outgoing, personable and could motivate clients of varying ages and ability levels. Dependability is paramount as is the ability to be flexible and accommodating and to consistently offer a robust schedule of swimming lessons. Displays expertise in formatting lessons and time management.
Competent with providing programming for all appropriate age and ability levels.

Routinely contributes to maintaining a clean and organized aquatics environment; including properly storing equipment and notifying management if equipment repairs are needed.
Administrative
Demonstrates competency in systems such as: lesson scheduling, instructor communication, member tracking software.
Show regular compliance with a structured shift or lesson substitution policy and procedure to avoid service interruption and assure a consistent and reliable program schedule.
Demonstrate willingness to fill substitution request.
Assist, as assigned, in the delivery of any Club events for members and/or the community.
Management
Proficient with all current facility policies and procedures and ensures all operations and practices of the department satisfy those policies and procedures.
Displays the ability to enforce all aquatic rules consistently and in a courteous manner.
General
Consistently meets and/or exceeds the Club/Department performance objectives and Key Performance Indicators as outlined in the Annual Strategic Plan.
Demonstrates the desire to continually improve areas of the business by identifying an area for improvement, devising a solution, then implementing a plan
Routinely achieves a high-level of organizational alignment, plays a vital role in realizing a Culture of Excellence and adheres to the IWP Code of Conduct.
