💻 Our client is a dynamic organization in the PR and communications industry, seeking an IT Manager to lead and optimize their IT operations. This role is ideal for an ambitious IT professional eager to make a significant impact and grow into a leadership position.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to the CFO, the IT Manager will shape our technology strategy and ensure the seamless operation of our IT systems. You'll have the latitude to influence how IT integrates across the organization, gradually taking on full IT operation responsibilities.

Your role as IT Manager will involve managing vendor partnerships, automating processes, and ensuring comprehensive documentation of all hardware, systems, and accounts. Collaboration across departments will be key to ensuring IT supports our entire organization efficiently and strategically.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Infrastructure and Industry Technology Management:

  • Oversee the design, maintenance, and enhancement of the IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Manage PR and media-specific technology.
  • Systems Involved: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Cisco Meraki, Intermedia, Lenovo, Slack, Zoom, Hubspot, Carbonite, BackBlaze, Barracuda, Meltwater, Cision, Zoho.

Vendor, Documentation, and Budget Management:

  • Collaborate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure cost-effective technology solutions, leveraging them for system onboarding/offboarding and automation processes.
  • Create and manage documentation of all hardware, systems, and accounts, and establish internal help desk and IT ticketing systems for improved support efficiency.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget to optimize resource allocation and cost-efficiency.

Strategy, Policies, and Team Leadership:

  • Develop and implement an IT strategy aligning with business goals and long-term vision, including IT architecture for the Digital division.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies and best practices, ensuring security and compliance of all IT systems.
  • Manage and mentor your team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment, and continuously evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.

Disaster Recovery and User Support:

  • Maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery plan to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Ensure prompt IT support for all employees, addressing technical issues and providing guidance.
  • Systems Involved: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience (5-10 years) in IT management roles, with a verifiable track record of managing IT teams and projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and first hand experience with Microsoft 365 and Sharepoint
  • Knowledge of PR web-based software (e.g., Meltwater, Cision) is a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
  • Proficiency in IT budget management and vendor relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Must be able to work during non-standard business hours including weekends and holidays when required.
