Position: Staff Accountant

Location: Creve Coeur, MO

Full Time, In Person

Summary : Growing real estate company is seeking an individual to fill a full-time property accountant position. This position will be responsible for all accounting functions related to multiple properties and will report directly to the Director of Accounting and Finance. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

· Fill Cycle accounting process-accrual and cash basis

· Back-up for weekly AP entry, check runs, deposits and cash receipts

· Prepare Monthly bank reconciliations

· Prepare and enter monthly journal entries

· Manage and prepare miscellaneous tenant bill backs

· Generate and manage annual CAM reconciliations

· Work with various staff including upper manager to prepare annual budgets

· Maintain balance sheet reconciliations

· Enter and update leases into accounting system

· Collect Sales information from tenants and calculate percentage rent if necessary

· Post Late Fees to tenant accounts

· Assist with overall office management and organization

· Update tenant contact information as needed

· Special projects and other duties as assigned

Competencies:

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook

· 5 Years of experience in property accounting preferred

· Knowledge of Kardin and or Rent Manger a plus

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred

· Ability to work with others closely including coworkers, tenants and banks

· Able to multi-task, prioritize, work independently with little supervision and meet deadlines

· Team oriented
