Kitchen Lead

The Position : Our company is looking for a Kitchen Lead to establish, supervise, and oversee dietary operations for a new 14-bed Residential Treatment Facility in Fort Myers, FL.

Responsibilities :

• 40 Hour Work Week With Including a Saturday OR Sunday
• To Establish, Supervise, and Oversee the Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) Dietary Operation That Meets / Complies with State Regulations and Licensure Standards
• Maintain Supervision of Another Full-Time Cook and a Part-Time Cook
• Prep, Cook, Serve, and Clean the Kitchen and Dining Room after Each Meal
• Responsible for the Order and Purchase of Food and Supplies
• Completes Advance Food Preparation of the Week’s Menu
• Follow Budget Guidelines Based on the Occupancy of Residents
• Must Dictate a Meal Plan That is Approved by a Registered Dietician to Ensure All Licensure Standards Are Met
• Complete Intermittent Cleaning as Directed / Needed : Ceiling Fans, Walls Behind Food Prep Areas and Dishwashing Area, Windowsills and Baseboards, Shelving, Air Conditioner Vents in Kitchen, Backsplash Behinds Stoves
• Create a Cleaning Schedule of the Kitchen / Dining Area for Any Other Cleaning Duties to Perform.
• Maintain Compliance with All State Regulations and Licensure Standards at All Times
• Provide In-Service Training to Dietary Team as Needed or Required by State Licensure
• Complete and Post Weekly / Bi-Weekly Team Schedule That Ensures Coverage For Each Shift
• Must Be Available to Team and Administration for Emergency Situations
• Required to Ensure Coverage for Any Shelter-In-Place or Evacuation Situations
• Responsible for Reporting Any Unsafe Condition or Equipment Problems Immediately Upon Discovery
• Maintain Confidentiality of All Resident Information
• Check Company Email Once Per Day, Responding Timely, Appropriately, and Professionally, to Communicate Internally and Externally
• Interacts Professionally with Residents, Co-Workers, and Vendors. Must Be Able to Maintain Tact and Professionalism
• Other Responsibilities and Duties As Assigned

Requirements :

• Requires High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Culinary Training / Degree Preferred
• ServSafe Manager Certification Preferred. If Not Trained Before Hire, Will Be Required To Complete As Soon As Possible Once Hired
• At Least Four Years’ Experience in a Restaurant or Institutional Dietary Setting
• Experience in a Management / Supervisory Position Preferred
• Must Demonstrate Proficiency in Verbal, Written, and Computer Skills (40WPM)
• Must be Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Must be Able to Effectively Utilize Electronic Health Records
• Must be Able to Work With Diverse Groups and Individuals
• Must Successfully Complete All Criminal Background Screens and Drug Screens
• Must Maintain Trainings as Required
• Must Have a Negative TB Screening within 30 Days of Hire and Annually Thereafter.
• Must Obtain a Free From Communicable Disease Statement Within 30 Days of Hire
• Must Have Negative TB Screening Within 30 Days and Annually Thereafter.
