Job Opportunity : Sawyer

A client of ours located in Tualatin is looking for a Sawyer .

About the Company : A leading global provider of packaging, carting, logistics and designs.

Permanent hire chance post-contract hours.

Responsibilities :

• Read production schedule using computer production software.
• Follow cut sheet instructions to make accurate cuts.
• Determine the amount, size, and grade of plywood or lumber from the cut sheet.
• Load plywood or lumber onto the machine.
• Cut materials using computerized production software and various saws (e.g., panel saws, tiger saws, table saws, chop saws, circular saws).

Requirements :

• Construction or carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• 1 year prior sawyer experience required, two years of experience preferred.
• Must wear steel toed boots and bring hammer to work (16 oz or above)

Schedule & Pay :

• Training (Day) : Monday to Thursday, 5 : 00am-3 : 30pm Pay : $20 / hour
• Regular (Swing Shift) : Monday to Friday, 3 : 30pm-12 : 00am Pay : $22 / hour
