We have an exciting opportunity for an Instrument Operator in Newport News! Job Duties entail but are not limited to : Carry out a range of surveying assignments and assist the Survey Party Chief as directed to conduct land surveys of roads, bridges, and buildings sites.
Establish and re-establish lines for construction stakeout surveys and easement and property linesRecover property corners and sets traverse control points for boundary surveysSet and mark stakes for construction stakeout projectsDirect the survey party during the absence of the party chief and when acting for the Survey Party ChiefSet-up and operate survey equipment, including data collector, level, and GPS as well as performing all aspects of stakeout and location surveys using applicable survey equipmentQualifications : DBIDS EligibleMust have minimum of 1year experience Schedule : Monday Friday.
6am-5am Must be flexible to work varying hours and days as needed Pay : $20-$25 / hour based on experience.
