Job Title: Automation Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Required SkillsProgramming and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC’s, HMIs, server motors
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, program, and maintain Allen Bradley PLC systems (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, etc.).
- Write and debug PLC ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams.
- Implement and test PLC programs for new equipment and systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on existing PLC systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLC hardware and software.
- Design and configure Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) using Allen Bradley software (FactoryTalk View ME/SE).
- Create user-friendly HMI screens for operators, including status displays, alarms, and controls.
- Maintain and update HMI applications to improve usability and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve HMI-related issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation enhancements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve recurring issues.
- Stay current with new technologies and industry trends in automation.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in programming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and servo motors.
