Role: Hardware Electrical Engineer ILocation: San Diego, CA - 92121Duration: 6 Months Responsibilities
- Sustaining engineering, electronic component life-cycle management, instrument fieldcomplaint investigation and documentation to support these efforts.
- Root cause analysis tools to troubleshoot various levels of electro-mechanical sub-systems and instruments.
- Contribute inputs on a diverse cross functional/cross site team and external contractmanufacturers and engineers.
- Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness ofclient Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job; has awareness of device defects that mayoccur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activitie
- Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistentwith the company’s policies and practices; build productive internal/external working relationships
- Works primarily in a standard office or lab environment with air conditioning, good lighting with a low to moderate noise level. May also visit and work inresearch labs,testing labs, production and other areas as well as vendor facilities as necessary.
- May, on occasion, work with a variety of production equipment, small hand tools, testequipment, and precision measuring instruments. Also uses standard office equipmentsuch as telephone, copier, and a personal computer with standard office software.

- BS in Electrical Engineering, MS preferred; or equivalent experience/combined education
- conducts measurements specified in test plans, documents and tabulates results, and provides engineering test reports as required.
- Experience in electronics design for test, manufacturing and assembly with an understanding of design impact on EMC, ESD and Immunity.
- Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational andfollow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems and sub-systems.
