Role: Quality EngineerLocation: Westford, MA - 1886Duration: 8 Months Shift Timings: 8 am to 5 pm Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and take charge of initiating medical device quality assurance activities. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with FDA Quality System Regulation, ISO13485, and other international standards while supporting device complaint investigation and failure analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document incoming inspection processes.
- Provide in-process QA support, including inspection and document review.
- Complete final acceptance activities.
- Manage the sterilization process, including validations and product sterile loads.
- Track nonconforming material and lead Material Review Board (MRB) efforts.
- Interface with suppliers, contractors, and consultants, taking a lead QA role in interactions related to components, subassemblies, and contract processing.
- Lead complaint investigations on returned products.
- Manage corrective action and quality improvement activities.
- Oversee aspects of the internal quality system such as receiving inspection, calibration, and MRB.
- Assist in conducting quality system internal audits.
- Support quarterly management review meetings.
- Establish, monitor, and evaluate quality system metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of [insert number] years of experience in medical device quality assurance or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of FDA Quality System Regulation, ISO13485, and other relevant standards.
