This position requires extensive collaboration with engineering teams and suppliers to ensure product quality and cost efficiency.

Duration: Long TermPosition OverviewAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing quality parts from sources of supply for electronic components and managing the timeline for new product introductions at suppliers. This position requires extensive collaboration with engineering teams and suppliers to ensure product quality and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities1-Quality Development
- Develop high-quality parts using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes.
- Ensure parts meet all engineering and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to communicate and clarify requirements.
- Request quotes and negotiate costs effectively.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of parts.
- Manage timelines for new product introductions at supplier facilities.
- Oversee and coordinate the production process to ensure alignment with project deadlines.
- Study time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.
- Review and approve work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.
- Analyze and recommend modifications to quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within equipment capabilities.
- Review worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets to verify adherence to quality assurance specifications.
- Evaluate data and reports to identify deviations from existing standards and recommend appropriate actions.
- Review charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.
- Recommend revisions to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production efficiency or improve standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field preferred).
- 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on quality supplier management and electronic components.
- Proficient in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).
- Knowledge of assembly line processes and quality supplier management.
- Experience with aluminum manufacturing processes, casting manufacturing, and machining.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced skills in macros and pivot tables.
- Experience with Power BI for data visualization and analysis.
- Lack of experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Inadequate understanding of quality supplier management and APQP processes.
- Insufficient technical skills related to aluminum manufacturing, casting, and machining.
- Deep interaction to understand and translate engineering requirements into supplier instructions.
- Close collaboration with buyers to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of parts.
