Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Create both high-level and detailed designs that meet user and business requirements, while adhering to compliance, quality, and cost standards. Ensure designs align with Philips reference architecture requirements.
- Component Integration: Combine existing and/or purchased elements and parts into medical ultrasound transducers and manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Verification and Testing: Finalize designs and integration plans. Write comprehensive verification plans for developed components and tooling. Conduct tests, analyses, and verifications to ensure design quality and performance.
- Outside-In Design Approach: Maintain a user-centric approach, considering external inputs and feedback for continuous design improvement.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with R&D, Product Industrialization, and Operations teams to develop new manufacturing processes and improve existing ones.
- Project Planning and Reporting: Provide input for project planning processes. Develop personal schedules, and report progress methodically to the project manager.
- Documentation: Ensure all documentation follows the provided templates from the I2M (Idea to Market) processes, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in the medical device industry.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485) is highly desirable.
Top Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes
- Experience with verification and validation processes
