Medical Device Experience

Job Description:

7 yrs experience (Ideally a Sr Packaging Engineer with supervisory experience)

Must Have Experience:

In Life Sciences industry (Biotech, Pharma, Med Device)

Regulatory standards (ie: ASTM, ISTA, ISO, etc.)

Packaging qualification processes (ie: distribution simulation testing , human factors &

usability testing, child resistance and adult friendly testing)

Familiar with industry terminology, norms, language, systems

Ideal candidate:

Soft skillsets – Highly motivated, entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable leading activities, tasks and a team of Testing Engineers and interns. Able to provide mentorship & guidance to younger team members. This is a 100% on site supervisory role.

Technical skillsets – Strong project management, technical documentation competencies, report writing, package design & prototyping, cross-functional partnership & collaborative.

SME level understanding of pharmaceutical packaging development and package performance testing

Day-to-day duties may consist of direct client consultations, design reviews, Root Cause Analysis, calls with package testing vendors, cross-collaboration with team to execute necessary tests, and assistance with developing new hire training materials for the Test Services program.

Close collaboration with on site Package Design and Engineering teams to help onboard new client projects and support with various package performance testing services.

Assist in the planning and deployment of new onsite Package Testing Lab to enhance PCI’s packaging performance feasibility testing capabilities.
