- Experienced engineering Project Manager who can manage several high-scope projects related to components throughout the product development cycle.
- This individual contributor must have the ability to manage multiple high-complexity projects of short durations.
- Experience in the Medical device industry is required.
- There are roughly 200 components within a catheter and currently, they are updating 70 components in terms of design. So this person needs to know the medical device qualification process- IQ, OQ, and PQ process. Knowledge and experience in this will be ideal.
- Knowledge of different manufacturing processes within medical devices: assembling, injection molding, extrusion. Direct exp is not required but must know how these processes work.
- Some knowledge on US regulatory requirements.
- Will work closely with internal and external teams. (R&D, Quality, Supply chain, Process development team). Strong communication skills are required as they will be working cross-functionally.
- Complete the purchasing order needs throughout the projects.
- Experience within the medical device product development process. Exp in the design verification process; this person will be supporting the supplier side and not the catheter itself (this person will not manage the design verification process of the catheter; they must know what requirements are needed to understand the level of components they need from the supplier. Suppliers will be generating component samples and they will need to do the design verification on that sample which is performed by a separate team)
- Potentially negotiate pricing in terms of components within the project. So they must know how components are made and negotiate effectively.
- Monitor quality, delivery, and performance of suppliers.
- Creating timelines that facilitate project updates and communication with the suppliers; for example, informing suppliers how many samples they need to deliver.
- Coordinate inspections by working with the supplier quality team.
- Good at using Microsoft Office tools: excel, word, PowerPoint. Ability to present updates to the management when needed.
- Bachelor preferred with 5 to 7 years of experience.
- Open to Masters degree as well with 3 to 5 years experience.
- Previous experience in medical device product development process.
- Previous project management exp
- Previous medical device qualification experience: IQ, OQ, PQ.
- Previous exp in managing cross-functional projects.
