Job Description
- Perform full-stack software development work in a collaborative team environment.
- Carry out design, implementation, software integration, and documentation required to meet company procedures.
- Take ownership of the high-quality implementation of software features for instrument software.
- Execute quality assurance activities such as reviews and code inspections.
- Work in an iterative product release environment, continuously focusing on quality and delivery goals.
- Design and develop scalable system solutions with internal tools and product requirements.
- Drive and evaluate resulting system performance, speed, and throughput, and identify root causes for system-level issues, latencies, and resource conflicts between Hardware, Firmware, and Software.
- Work along software and internal teams to refine system dependencies and implement a comprehensive approach for scripting and programming to address event handling, error reporting, and system recovery.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying software applications/systems using proven or emerging technologies in a variety of environments.
- Proficiency in web technologies (e.g., Web APIs, Java, SQL Server, TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, frameworks such as Angular or React).
- Solid understanding of software design principles.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience with systems integration specializing in Firmware, Hardware, and Software.
- Thorough understanding of system architecture and sub-system dependencies, and of risk analysis, mitigation, and controls, relating to instrument control logic, dynamic time allocation, hardware and software synchronization, and resource sharing.
