Visa: USC/GC OnlyJob DescriptionAs a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in creating innovative system solutions for APU gas turbine engines. You'll own and manage systems and components throughout the entire lifecycle, collaborating across various teams to drive growth and achieve critical milestones.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of APU and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) across the entire lifecycle.
- Lead design aspects, system integration, and test planning/execution.
- Oversee test setup, unit conformity, and test data management/reduction.
- Manage approved source lists, build prints, and supplier drawings.
- Reconcile LRU requirements with system-level and customer needs.
- Integrate LRU design into larger systems and applications.
- Communicate effectively with management, suppliers, and project engineering.
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and supplier integration.
- Authorize coordination memos, track/log communications, and respond to suppliers and customers.
- Manage source status elevation of LRUs.
- Possess knowledge of governing plans for LRU qualification.
- Develop and approve specific test plans and procedures (QTPs).
- Integrate documentation into clients' QTPs and facilitate updates based on customer input.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Systems Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Engineering.
- US Citizenship or Green Card.
- Understanding of systems engineering principles.
- System-level operation knowledge.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Mechanical/Aerospace engineering background (a plus).
- Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9120, ISO/IEC 15288, MIL-STD-810, and DO-160 standards.
- Experience with Power Systems, Power Generation Systems, APUs, and LRUs.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and initiative.
- Decisive with the ability to analyze complex situations and make timely decisions.
- Adaptable and eager to learn new concepts.
