Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in developing cutting-edge software solutions for automotive manufacturing environments. In this role, you will play a crucial part in automating product manufacturing processes, laboratory testing, and data management systems. You will be responsible for ensuring high-volume data collection, accurate reporting, and efficient data analysis. Additionally, you will lead design reviews, document software architectures, and oversee code reviews for both hardware and software development tasks. This position requires expertise in electromechanical systems, database management, and compliance with industry standards and cybersecurity protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop world-class software solutions to automate product manufacturing, laboratory testing, and data collection/storage/analysis in automotive manufacturing.
- Design and develop enterprise-level solutions for high-volume data collection, reporting, and management.
- Gain expertise in electromechanical function and testing of products, ensuring robust and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Lead design, documentation, and code reviews for hardware and software development and maintenance tasks.
- Create and document software architecture, requirements, and specifications from system-level down to detailed levels.
- Plan and deliver timely software solutions in a hybrid development environment utilizing both waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, corporate governance, industry regulations, and internal best practices.
- Mentor and provide training to junior engineers and interns.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Computer, or related field), Computer Science, or Data Science.
- 8 years of experience in hardware/software design, development, and database creation/management for manufacturing applications.
- Advanced knowledge of .NET programming languages (VB.NET and C#).
- Advanced proficiency with relational databases (SQL Server).
- Advanced understanding of electrical architecture in manufacturing test systems.
- Advanced knowledge of electromechanical devices and data acquisition systems.
- Proficiency in microcontroller architecture and flashing techniques.
- Advanced understanding of SAE J1939 protocol.
- Proficiency with source code control systems (BitBucket, Git, SVN, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in cybersecurity governance, methods, techniques, and tools.
- Ability to thrive in a demanding production environment, preferably automotive.
- Proficiency in LabVIEW VI development and deployment.
- Familiarity with the latest web development languages and too
