Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Columbus, OH

Contract: 6 months

Shift: General shift

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-speed manufacturing equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of vision systems, particularly Cognex, to ensure quality control and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on high-speed manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems to ensure equipment uptime.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits of equipment to identify potential issues.
• Quickly and effectively troubleshoot equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Cognex vision systems to ensure accurate product inspection and quality control.
• Configure and calibrate vision systems for optimal performance.
• Conduct regular checks and updates to vision system software and hardware.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts usage, and equipment modifications.
• Update technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
• Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance processes and procedures.
• Train and mentor junior technicians and operators on equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to management promptly.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Morning shift

Experience:

• Preventative maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
• Electrical Troubleshooting: 1 year (Preferred)
• Control Systems Troubleshooting: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mechanical troubleshooting: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vision Systems (particularly Cognex): 1 year (Preferred)
• Calibration: 1 year (Preferred)
