Network engineers might optimize a packet capture application, deep dive to root cause a customer issue, investigate why a metric is trending the wrong way, consult with the other engineers, or discuss radical new approaches to automate operational issues. The focus of this position is on Network support (both hardware and software with an emphasis on software) to a cybersecurity software development team including configuring, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning network equipment, including but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, etc. Candidates will be expected to support the operational and development networks through maintenance and troubleshooting. In addition, the candidate will participate in designing and building high-end, customized networking and server solutions using cutting-edge technology to meet emerging requirements. This is an ideal position for an experienced network engineer who is well-organized and reliable to contribute to and be a part of an established team of highly experienced software engineers to build and operate high-performance solutions for cybersecurity. Candidates should be willing to take ownership of assigned tasks, meet deadlines, be willing to learn, adapt quickly to changing requirements, and work both independently and as a part of a team. In addition, applicants may interact with customers so good communications skills are essential.
