Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced forklift operator capable of moving palletized manufactured material, asymmetric and oversized material and steel coils and optimized semi-truck loading experience as well as loading/unloading freight/delivery trucks. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job will involve driving around our warehouse, factory, and parking lot/receiving dock.

You must be a responsible individual with current certification and proven experience in material handling. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be in the right place using the safest of techniques to achieve maximum efficiency per our requirements.

Duties

• Load and unload materials and merchandise from delivery to required factory location, from incoming/outgoing trucks/vehicles, and stack materials in accordance with the requirement at and to their designated location – DAMAGE FREE!
• Locate and move stock products, pallets, steel coils, or crates for incoming and outgoing shipments
• Identify and record any damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies promptly
• Transport raw materials to production locations on job sites (if needed) and in the warehouse
• Inspect equipment to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing ad scheduling regular maintenance
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help to maintain a safe and orderly environment in the Intellisteel factory and in all other areas of operation.
• Ensure that all movement procedures are completed in accordance with the strict guidelines of the company.
• Follow all company safety protocols and always promote OSHA best practice. Immediately notify management of any safety concerns and/or incidents.
• Attend and actively participate in training classes and safety sessions as set forth by the company
• Fully understand the different steel SKU’s, component types (load and non-load bearing walls, floor joists and trusses) and their applications for proper movement and placement efficiency onto freight trucks and in the factory.
• Will need to work in a team environment and train future forklift operators in operation, technical and maintenance requirements

Recommended Requirements
- Proven experience as forklift operator, 5 years, minimum
- Basic math skills for inventory management
- Diligence and familiarity with forklift/industrial equipment
- Valid certification to operate forklifts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Job Site, Manufacturing/Construction Site experience, preferred

Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
