Description of responsibilities:

  • We are seeking a dynamic and confident Event Marketing Manger, with 10 years professional experience in all key aspects of event experience design, event planning and overall event production and execution of in person events. The Event Marketing Manager, Global Experiential Marketing will help shape the goals and vision of events across the company to create a common connection. You will lead cross-functional teams and agencies to implement the event program strategy and execute at the highest level a wide variety of in-person events to drive business outcomes and raise the bar on customer, partner and employee experience at events.
    You and the cross functional team will create exceptional expo experiences. You will own and drive the discovery, design, development, delivery and post event reporting and budget reconciliation. You will actively manage end-to-end project, budget, and timeline (including event logistics, financial management, fabrication / graphic / production timelines, vendor timelines, creative deliverables).
    The role requires a thorough understanding of event experience, planning, production, and a broader marketing acumen to successfully collaborate with teams across the company to deliver against business objectives, financial targets, ROI, advance the Client brand, products, and services. Your event experiences will create brand awareness, generate leads and pipeline as well as position Client as a thought-leader through both industry and Client led activities.
    You thrive with cross-department collaboration, are highly strategic, organized as well as creative and have a hands-on approach with your event management style. You enjoy working in a dynamic and global environment.
    Responsibilities
    Responsible for leading cross-functional teams across marketing, sales, operations, creative, and experiential in developing aspects of large scale events and conferences.
    Strategize and oversee the development and execution of our expo hall for our flagship customer conference, INSIGHT, including our internal Sales Kick Off.
    Create event experiences that align and support marketing and business KPI's
    Establish event experience goals, objectives, and priorities with business, marketing and agency partners.
    Project manage end to end planning, production, and execution of large and small scale events including but not limited to venue sourcing and negotiation, technical production management, creative design, agency sourcing, speaker selection, giveaways, collateral, catering requirements, experience set-ups, revenue tracking and materials support etc.
    Concept development, budget formation, team coordination, timeline management, presentation writing and delivery of presentations.
    Drive creative ideation and execution with internal and external partners looking for ways to increase event presence and engagement
    Create and maintain project plan for each phase with resource plan, defined milestones and associated tasks, and timeline
    Ensure that event activities are part of an integrated marketing campaign and not stand alone.
    Provide functionality improvements to day-to-day processes, bring new ideas and concepts to event programs
    Communicate event experience details with internal stakeholders
    Manage vendor activity and relationships (ensuring effective communications, selection, quotes/orders, PO/invoice processing, general management, onsite load-in/show planning, etc.) and lead areas onsite and build processes for repeatable and scalable event activities.
    Qualify all production vendors to ensure they meet Client standards while exceeding company expectations.
    Ensure all production exceeds objectives at every step in the process while setting a high benchmark for production excellence.
    Negotiate costs with production agencies and manage to budget
    Maintain accuracy and accountability of event budget
    Collect and document contract and invoices related to the event, working closely with Legal and Finance teams to ensure on-time execution of related deliverables
    Skills And Competencies
    Minimum 8yrs of event marketing experience (preferably in a technology environment); with a primary focus of delivering on both large and small live event programs that align to the customer journey and sales goals with commitment to deliver against pipeline targets.
    Highly proactive, innovative, collaborative, organized, detailed-oriented, and analytical self-starter leader who is capable of effectively managing several projects simultaneously from a variety of stakeholders and vendors and stay calm under pressure
    Excellence in time management skills and follow up to ensure meeting on time deliverables.
    Experience managing cross functional teams, direct reports and developing others.
    Eloquent, passionate, confident, insightful, enthusiastic, driven, creative and entrepreneurial about delivering groundbreaking experiences.
    Creative, innovative, and always think outside the box. With a track record of driving and piloting new ideas, measuring the impact, scaling and optimizing.
    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to adapt to a variety of internal & external stakeholders and think strategically to influence them.
    Ability to create presentations and deliver them in a compelling way to executive level stakeholders
    Strong ability to adapt to changing, ambiguous and high-pressure environments and prioritizing tasks
    Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships and influence across highly cross-functional teams including sales, product, customer support, and marketing.
    Highly resourceful with a strong of sense of ownership in areas of responsibility
    Ability to see beyond a given task and advise on cause and effect of decisions and options depending on any situation.
    Will go the extra mile and take pride in the work and stakeholder relationships
    Be results-driven leader producing a wide range of outstanding experiences across all enormities of scope.
    Advance and support fellow team members and suppliers to deliver their very best, ensuring flawless end results.

    Proactive approach to handling any challenges that might arise and ability to quickly troubleshoot any problems that should arise on the event day
    Strong executive presence to manage executive stakeholders, and event attendances and activation staff.
    Highly organized with an ability to manage resources, budgets, and onsite personnel
    Demonstrate business acumen and the ability to distil complex information
    Data driven with focus on delivering metrics and the ability to show the impact of your work.
