Location: Plymouth, MI

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Description:

• Operates production equipment; responsible for manufacturing and assembly of clinical and commercial products.
• Follows blueprints, guidelines and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor.

Duties:

• Direct and coordinate customer requests for service of equipment.
• Confer with supervisors and engineering personnel to resolve design and/or operational problems.
• Assess and resolve customer complaints.
• Assist with the commissioning activities where needed.
• Assist with on-floor testing of equipment where needed.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of service related documents. Create new documents as needed or requested.
• Keep management informed of current issues relating to customer satisfaction.
• Promote the service department to all customers while representing company in a professional, productive and helpful manner.
• Analyse equipment problems and prepare technical reports for use by engineering and management.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
• Complete any Quality System records/activities as required.

Required Experience: 2 years (Preferred)

Required Education: High school or equivalent (Required)

Required Skills: Mechanical & Computer Aptitude.

Desired Skills: Test lab experience (equipment, methods, and instruments). Data Acquisition Systems experience (IMC DataWorks or LabView preferred). Programmable controller experience.

Desired Education: Associates degree / technical degree / vocational training
