Job Summary: IntePros is seeking an Application Support Analyst to provide application support for information protection technologies under the direction of Technology Production Services Management. The incumbent will be responsible for debugging, installing, monitoring, and troubleshooting production systems, functioning as 1st and 2nd level support on all vendor and in-house applications. This role includes additional responsibilities in desktop support, system administration, and application development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 5 x 24-hour support to first-line application support staff and overnight operators.
- Minimize interruptions and risks to the firm from system outages by coordinating activities within the Application Support group.
- Debug, install, monitor, and troubleshoot production systems.
- Perform desktop support, system administration, and application development tasks.
- Ensure seamless operation of systems by functioning as 1st and 2nd level support for various applications.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree, preferably in Computer Science.
- Experience in an application support role within the investment management business.
- Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Visual Basic, PowerBuilder, Perl, C, Java, Shell.
- Well-versed in the trading area, trade operations, and general investment management business knowledge, including accounting, data warehousing, reporting, portfolio management, and portfolio analytic tools.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Unix operating systems, Windows file system, and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
- General knowledge of databases used: Sybase, MS SQL Server, and tools to monitor these databases.
