Data Engineering ManagerIntePros is searching for a dynamic Data Engineering Manager to join one of our local oil & gas clients here in Denver. You'll spearhead ad-hoc projects, leveraging AWS and Oracle Cloud expertise to refine technologies and boost productivity. Your role involves effective communication, leadership, and Agile methodology skills to translate product features into actionable plans. Responsibilities:
  • Manages, plans, executes, and actively participates in ad-hoc projects in various areas of the organization.
  • Creates tools and identifies unique ways to accelerate employee productivity, speed, and accuracy.
  • Reviews recommendations from internal colleagues and departments to identify best practices to improve functioning and productivity.
  • Refines existing technology and defines clear strategies to help products perform better for the organization.
  • Performs programming, infrastructure, and other technical skills in creating solutions.
  • Acts as part of the solutions team and manages the process.
  • Effectively communicates to stakeholders on projects, solutions, and implementation.
  • Works in Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.
  • Develops, owns, and executes feature roadmaps.
  • Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
What are the top MUST HAVE skill sets (technical) that are required?
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Cloud technology (particularly AWS)
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT and related technology
  • In depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud, including functional knowledge of Oracle ERP modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Project Accounting, and Manufacturing) and Oracle HCM modules (Recruiting, Core HR, Time and Labor, Absence, and Payroll)
  • 2-3 years’ of true management experience
What are top three PREFERRED skill sets (technical)?
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty), demonstrating a deep understanding of AWS cloud services and best practices.
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms and technologies beyond AWS, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure, broadening the scope of expertise in cloud-based data solutions.
  • Experience with big data technologies and frameworks, such as Apache Spark or Hadoop, enriching the skill set for handling large-scale data processing and analytics tasks.
