IntePros is looking for a Quality Control Engineer for our client with offices in Windsor, CT. This is a full-time opportunity.
This is an onsite role – 5 days per week.This role will ensure the quality of products and procedures through rigorous inspections, implementation of quality control measures, and identification of areas for improvement. This will require collaboration with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to building high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. This role requires a strong technical background in quality control, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Understands all processes within Quality Control at a proficient or higher level, including incoming inspection, in-process defect management, and First Article approvals.
- Capture technical information on all internal engineering drawings and specifications. Interprets all requirements and runs all applicable tests to validate requirements are met.
- Collects useful information to update internal metrics and updates stakeholders through daily management process.
- Provides technical expertise on the impact on Quality due to internal ECO’s, reports, and proposals.
- Delivers pertinent MRB (material review board) and RTV (return to vendor) information to Supply Chain team.
- Recommends improvements in procedures, methods, and standards.
- Communicates any defects and non-compliance to all internal stakeholders.
- Supports problem resolution methodology within a team environment.
- Ensures that all calibrated equipment is operating properly and recertified by a 3rd party testing lab.
- Confirms the critical components identified in the product Listing Report.
- Supports Factory Inspections by a 3rd party auditor.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality related disciplines, or equivalent experience, is required.
- ASQ or equivalent quality control certification is preferred.
- Prior experience in an QC Engineering position with electronics experience is preferred.
- Utilization of quality management tools (pivot tables, pareto charts) is preferred.
- Understanding of processes within a quality management system (QMS) is preferred.
- Ability to participate as a team member within a cohesive technical unit.
- Ability to work effectively and productively with minimal supervision.
