IntePros is Hiring a Senior Android Software Engineer Near Windsor, CT
IntePros is looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer for our client with offices in Windsor, CT. This is a full-time opportunity.
This is a hybrid role so candidates should be located in/near CT or willing to relocate.
The ideal candidate MUST have strong AOSP experience and is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of both Android and Linux-based applications and supporting APIs.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Architect end to end solutions for complex Android applications, ensuring system scalability, security, and performance.
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality code for new and existing Android platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-function teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Mentor Junior Engineers, conduct code reviews, and ensure software quality and best practices.
- Stay current with new technology trends and propose adoption as appropriate.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and solve complex technical issues in our Android products.
- Provide technical leadership in the planning of projects for new and existing platforms.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or education and training normally associated with a bachelor’s degree.
- 5 years of professional Android application Engineering.
- Proven experience in architecting, designing, and implementing Android applications.
- Proficient with AOSP
- Experience with Android 8.x HIDL, Services and Vendor apps.
- Expert knowledge in Java for Android and experience with C
- Proficient with Android SDK, Android NDK, and related development tools and libraries.
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira or similar.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git(bitbucket/GitHub/etc.)
- Familiar with Agile methodologies
