Directly reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will collaborate with business leaders, operations, trading personnel, and affiliates to shape and execute the company’s strategic agenda, aligning it with the overarching goals of the parent company. Serving as a key figure in the evolution and administration of Our Client's Investment Management, the COO will establish essential infrastructure, cultivate trust among stakeholders, and propel organizational expansion. This role necessitates consistent demonstration of astute judgment and innovation in delivering solutions that enhance investment platforms and products, while ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership
• Demonstrates strategic thinking abilities alongside sharp analytical skills, with a keen focus on precision and accuracy.
• Serves as a leader in strategic risk management initiatives.
• Leads the advancement of company-wide strategic objectives, outlining both long-term and short-term goals and establishing precise metrics to gauge progress.
• Collaborates closely with various departments within the company, including Compliance, Marketing, Technology, and Operations, fostering constructive relationships with business leaders, personnel from affiliated companies, and financial professionals.
• Aids in the formulation and upkeep of budgetary plans and headcount management.

• Operational Oversight
• Supervise the organization of executive meetings and board meetings.
• Coordinate internal and external data collection and reporting efforts.
• Create and formalize operational workflows specific to the investment management division.
• Guarantee streamlined management of daily operations as the business expands.
• Oversee relationships with investment-related vendors and collaborate with other teams members to manage broader associations, such as custodians.
• Offer leadership and program management expertise to ensure punctual and efficient completion of deliverables, such as implementing a new trading platform or negotiating contracts.
• Ensure effective communication of business activities to pertinent stakeholders through both verbal and written channels.

Qualifications

• Possess a minimum of a decade's worth of expertise in wealth management, ideally in collaboration with independent advisors, with a focus on enhancing profitability through the establishment of scalable and replicable procedures.
• Exhibit robust experience in asset management or wealth management operations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in assessing, implementing, and utilizing financial technology tools, including Envestnet and Tamarac, or equivalent platforms. Familiarity with Pershing Manager Gateway and Schwab Marketplace is advantageous.
• Preferably, have experience in billing management or billing operations.
• Showcase experience in program or project management.
• Have worked within an entrepreneurial setting.
