POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide administrative support to patients, fellow employees and referral sources through the coordination and administration of the front office activities. The ideal candidate will have a background in an administrative role with strong computer proficiency, and customer service. Typical responsibilities include scheduling appointments, validating insurance and payment authorization, inputting claims, processing payments, performing account collections, conducting billing research and responding to telephone inquiries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing incoming phone calls
Responsible for patient appointment scheduling
Complete intake for patients
Creation of new patient charts and maintenance of patient records
Scanning and filing patient documents and ensuring complete and accurate information
Obtaining insurance authorization and verification
Providing information for patients and posting over the counter payments
Daily document research on an electronic health/medical record system
Ensuring the availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records
Verifying financial records and collecting patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor Degree is an asset
2 years of experience in medical office or similar role, preference is given to candidates with experience in behavioral health
Experience with insurance verification and authorization is preferred
Experience with medical billing and coding is preferred
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment.
Comfortable using virtual platforms and technology to deliver services and maintain accurate records (Electronic Health Records) .
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
Employment with interdynamics is contingent upon completing screening requirements (including, but not limited to, Criminal Background Check and State Child Abuse Registry Clearance).
