A leading Wealth Management firm dedicated to addressing their intricate integration challenges with innovative, efficient, and cohesive solutions are seeking a Head of Data Strategy to oversee the design, development, management, and implementation of their internal data architecture, ensuring it aligns with their business objectives.

We are looking for a data strategist who has extensive experience across data management, data architecture, and data governance. Ability to manage a growing team including a large team of Data Architects, build the team further and looking ahead at AI/ML opportunities for the business.

You will be:

• Developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with business goals.
• Leading the data architecture function, ensuring the infrastructure meets current and future requirements.
• Creating a commercially viable plan to market and monetize our data assets and solutions.
• Collaborating with leadership, Product Management, Marketing, and Sales to drive the strategy and achieve commercial success.
• Designing and overseeing the implementation of data architecture solutions, including data models, storage, and integration processes.
• Ensure the scalability, security, and compliance of data architecture.
• Managing the data architecture team and establish a company-wide data governance approach.
• Developing and maintaining the framework for technological systems, ensuring scalability and adherence to corporate standards.
• Overseeing the implementation of technology programs, working closely with software development teams to ensure smooth system operations.
• Establishing domain-specific standards and roadmaps aligned with enterprise standards and overall strategy.
• Acting as a strategic technology lead, guiding architecture strategy and advising business teams on major IT projects.
• Establishing and upholding data governance frameworks and policies.
• Developing and enforcing software development standards and policies.
• Working closely with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to identify data needs and opportunities.
• Bridging the gap between management and technical teams, ensuring effective IT solutions and alignment with organizational goals.

You will need:

• Strong understanding of data architecture principles, large data models, data analysis, and leading data technologies and applications.
• Ability to identify and conceptualize commercial opportunities around our data capabilities and availability.
• Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data integration techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Knowledge of relevant data technologies and tools, such as SQL, NoSQL databases, ETL processes, AI, cloud, and data warehousing solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), TOGAF, or similar are preferred.
• Experience working within the Wealth management / Financial Services space

Qualifications preferred:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in data management, data architecture, and data governance.
• Proven experience in leading data strategy initiatives and managing data architecture teams.
