Interim Health Care of Joliet is now hiring a Summer School Nurse to work one to one with a student.

Nurse will ride the bus to and from school with the student and will need to have gastrostomy tube (G-Tube) experience

Summer School dates are June 10th- July 18th from 9am-12noon.

Pay rate is $34 per hour

• As a Licensed Practical Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
• Cares for the health needs of Students
• Implements, care plans, as needed, in collaboration with the client, family, school, physician as applicable.
• Records all pertinent data.
• Manages acute and emergency health problems in the school context and coordinates services needed for optimal health, safety and learning.
• Completes other assignments as requested and assigned.
• May have access to personal health information (“PHI”) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.

A few must-haves for Registered Nurses:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active LPN license in Illinois
• Minimum of 1 years of nursing experience in a medical facility
• CPR certification 
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
• Demonstrated clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good communicator and compassionate
