Schedule Coordinator North Charleston, SC The PCSS (Personal Care and Support Services) Scheduling Coordinator is the voice of our customer and employee experience at Interim HealthCare PCSS. Your ultimate goal is to make sure that clients have coverage and that employees/clients have the best experience possible. You will deal with clients, families, and employees on their worst and best days. You’ll be there to support them and coordinate the care that they need. You will communicate via text, email, phone, and internal messaging systems to make sure that care is being coordinated and clients are getting their hours covered. This role is critical for Interim HealthCare PCSS to provide top-quality care and being a place employees want to work. As The Schedule Coordinator here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:
  • Communicate clearly, kindly, and effectively as a primary representative of Interim HealthCare PCSS (Personal Care and Support Services).
  • MUST be a people person. You will communicate daily with clients and employees
  • Acts as the main point of contact for clients and employees regarding schedules which include urgent coverage, call-offs, 24 hr. Care, etc.
  • Build client/caregiver schedules that align with the client’s coverage needs.
  • Perform Payroll verification.
  • Assist with HR Information Systems, employee/client records management, and new employee orientation/onboarding.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed
  • Performs a variety of operational support to the PCSS team, including but not limited to scheduling, recordkeeping, professional client services and employee support
  • Detailed oriented – documentation of interactions with both clients and employees is mandatory.
  • Participates in department meetings.
  • Runs reports for Administrator.
  • Completes Intake data entry/building both client and employee records in EMR.
  • Maintains caregiver availability and compatibility information.
  • Completes data entry in required scheduling systems
  • Shares in and performs On-Call duties
  • Must strictly adhere to the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements regarding privacy and security of health information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
A few must-haves for our Schedule Coordinator:
  • Associate degree (or higher) in related field is preferred.
  • Previous home care experience.
  • 1 years of office administration experience.
  • 1 years scheduling experience in home care or related business.
  • Identifies and implements innovative and creative solutions to resolve workforce challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be an excellent multitasker with tremendous follow up skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn information systems.
