We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing accounts payable processes, maintaining vendor records, processing expense reports, and supporting additional accounting and administrative functions. You will also provide backup for the cash receipts specialist.

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:

• Manage accounts payable data entry and maintain approval workflows using Oracle NetSuite.
• Process credit card and out-of-pocket expense reports through SAP Concur.
• Support the accounting team with monthly close processes, 1099 reporting, and backup as needed.
• Execute routine accounts payable tasks including vendor maintenance, automated data review, and monthly accruals.
• Assist in updating and documenting accounts payable policies and procedures, and support internal audits.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• 2 years of accounts payable experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, automation, internal controls, 1099 reporting, and cloud-based accounting systems.
• Experience with multi-subsidiary and departmental accounting is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Proficient in computer applications, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with accounting systems, particularly Oracle NetSuite, preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, seek assistance when needed, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
