Interim HealthCare is Hiring a Hospice volunteer Near Springs, MI

Interim HealthCare of West Michigan is a locally owned and operated leader in post-acute care services in West Michigan. Give of your time, when time matters most.

We are now seeking Hospice Companion Volunteers to serve within our growing Hospice Division.

Your Volunteer Role

  • Read to your patient, lend a smile, listen to another's life-journey, share the joy of music, a favorite show, or play a card game.
  • If you're more comfortable volunteering in an administrative role, we have opportunities at our Corporate Hospice office to give a hand as office team support
  • This is a flexible role, and whatever time you have to give is appreciated and will be accommodated

  • You are valued, seen, and heard as a volunteer
  • We have a sense of humor, and we know how to use it

Volunteer Responsibilities

  • After being contacted, fill out the official application and background check form
  • Participate in an interview process
  • Participate in an initial volunteer training and orientation
  • Spend time serving your assigned patient or fulfilling administrative duties
  • Communicate consistently and regularly with your Volunteer Coordinator
  • Documentation in EMR

Volunteer Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Reliable transportation with valid state driver's license and current car insurance
  • Kind, compassionate, reliable, and emotionally composed
