Residential Field Manager Summary: The Residential Field Manager oversees the pre-installation readiness, installation, and completion of various trades and projects, including flooring, counters, solid surfaces, cabinets, and blinds. The primary responsibility is to ensure all work is executed with the highest quality according to builder and customer expectations. Essential Functions: Manage teams and installation processes at job sites during construction, ensuring quality installations and excellent customer service. Coordinate with independent contractors to ensure timely and accurate completion of work as per builder timelines and requirements, while enforcing safety and OSHA regulations Utilize project management skills to plan, organize, and execute installations effectively, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management. Oversee installations, conduct inspections, and implement quality control measures, including the measurement and installation of materials. Manage installers and subcontractors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality workmanship. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications: Clean driving record and valid license. Entry-level computer skills with knowledge of basic systems, applications, and the use of handheld devices and tablets. Effective communication skills with customers and employees. Proficiency in basic math for calculations such as percentages, area, circumference, linear feet, yardage, and square footage. Ability to read and comprehend plans, builder communications, training materials, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence. Experience leading a team or crew in a construction environment. Minimum of 4 years of experience in multiple trades including tile, wood, vinyl, carpet, countertops, and cabinets. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods (8 hours). Minor lifting and carrying may be required.
