OPEN JOB: Clinical Dietitian II – Pediatric OncologyLOCATION: Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaSALARY - $55,000 to $65,000BENEFITS – FullMAJOR HOSPITAL SETTING JOB SUMMARY:

The Clinical Dietitian II is responsible for patients admitted to the medical surgery and oncology floors.
Will perform comprehensive nutrition assessments, diagnose nutrition-related problems, determine, and implement appropriate targeted nutrition interventions, and monitor and evaluate outcomes utilizing the Nutrition Care Process.
Candidate may will have medical nutrition order writing privileges and will participate in EMR order entry for oral nutrition supplements, modulars, oral diets, tube feedings (enteral nutrition) and intravenous feedings (parenteral nutrition).

Responsible for nutrition education to patients and parents and may participate in on-going education programs for hospital staff, community, parent groups and professional organizations.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapy principles as they relate to the pediatric oncology.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to patients and families, medical staff and physicians.
Ability to counsel and educate others.
Strong knowledge in the scientific rationale and application of oral nutrition supplements, infant and pediatric formulas, enteral nutrition support, intravenous feedings and feeding modules (carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals).
General knowledge of Word Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, EMR.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Registered Dietitian (RD) credentialed from the Committee on Dietetic Registration (CDR), Licensure in the state of Pennsylvania (LDN).

Two years related experience required as a Clinical Registered Dietitian with pediatric clinical experience preferred.
