Job Description:
Under supervision, prepares and cooks food.Up to $1500 Sign on BonusJob Essentials
- Reviews menus daily to determine quantities of food and supplies needed.
- Prepares food for cafeteria, patient food service and catering using creativity, quality, consistency, and promptness.
- Follow and comply with recipe standards.
- Monitors and replenishes food as needed for cafeteria, catering, or patient trays.
- Ensures food is being handled and stored to Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.
- Operates various types of kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness. Records temperatures of refrigerators. Ensures equipment is in good working condition.
- Promotes mission, vision, and values of St. Joseph Hospital, and abides by service behavior standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Shift Details
- Morning shift approx.5:30am-2pm (although this can vary slightly)
- Weekend availability required
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- One (1) year food service experience in a healthcare facility, such as health care food service
- Minimum 6 months experience in food preparation, preferably in a healthcare setting

Physical Requirements:
