International Automotive Components is Hiring a Sr. EHS Specialist Near Warren, MI
Establishes written environmental and safety standards, reviews, and updates annually to ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act as well as Company Policies and procedures
Responsible for the selection of personal protective equipment
Coordinates inspections by MIOSHA, DOL, etc
Updates legislation to remain current with the latest requirements.
Provides input in the development stages of current, as well as pending, manufacturing process equipment.
Manges and coordinates all hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage, handling, shipment and disposal.
Provides meaningful statistics to management in a timely manner, to assist in continued improvement of workplace health, safety and loss control.
Manages any open written consent agreements with State or Federal governments and associated record retention.
Participates in the orientation of new hires in the area of Health & Safety.
Generates frequent reports/updates to management and Corporate.
Coordinates meetings and activities of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
Assists with the administration of Worker's Compensation.
Monitors all accident investigations.
Adheres to all safety rules.
Any reasonable request deemed necessary by Management.
EMR-Environmental Management Rep.
Manages and Monitors the EMS process of the Facility.
Reports to the General Manager on the performance of EMS including recommendations for improvement.
Performs EMS, Auditor, Emergency Response Plan, and ISO14001 training
Leads the ISO14001 external audit
Education, Training, and/or Experience
Occupational Safety and Health degree or equivalent work experience
Must possess five years of experience in an industrial environment.
